CEATEC 2023 Opens on October 17 at Makuhari Messe 684 companies and organizations to exhibit at this comprehensive exhibition of digital innovation, a co-creation space for 100,000 Innovators

The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA, whose Representative Director/Chairman is Keiji Kojima, Director, Representative Executive Officer, President and CEO at Hitachi, Ltd.) will be holding CEATEC 2023 at Makuhari Messe from October 17 (Tuesday) to 20 (Friday), 2023.

First held in 2000, CEATEC has consistently demonstrated how technology can enrich our lives. It grew steadily over the years, developing as a trade show for digital consumer electronics. However, in 2016 CEATEC announced a major shift in direction, from being a consumer electronics trade fair to an exhibition focused on realizing Society 5.0, and envisaging society and lifestyles of the future made possible by IoT and co-creation. As a co-creation space for 100,000 innovators, CEATEC is conceived as a pioneering Comprehensive Exhibition of Digital Innovation that offers the “CEATEC experience”—innovators see the exhibits, listen to the conferences, perceive and ponder future society, and embark on co-creation.

Spread over 5 exhibit areas—Partners Park, Advanced Technologies, Key Devices, Startup & University, and Global—there will be 684 exhibitors (companies and organizations) attending CEATEC 2023. Of these, 195 are from overseas—21 countries/regions, including Ukraine, which for the first time will have its own pavilion. Centered on the Partners Park with its “Digital Garden City” theme, the exhibits will also be diverse, and many will demonstrate technological solutions to social issues, allowing visitors to experience the society and lifestyles of the future. There will continue to be online streaming of conferences, but for the first time in four years in-person conferences will be held at Makuhari Messe. In total, CEATEC 2023 will feature more than 200 conferences, including pitch events.

Innovators will transform the future, and CEATEC 2023 will provide them with a space for co-creation—a place to see, hear, feel, and think about future society, new lifestyles, and cutting-edge technologies realized by Society 5.0. This event is designed to stimulate fresh co-creation, involving both exhibitors and visitors. Over the 4 days of CEATEC 2023, visitor numbers are expected to reach 100,000 (exact figures will be announced after October 20).
